Hi I'm Gabi

Critically aware, problem solving graphic designer who loves a challenge.

I am currently studying Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth. This degree is enabling me to consider what graphic design is and develop my own perspectives. I am aware that designers making big advances in sustainable design, political intelligence and cutting-edge technology and is increasingly relevant within society and is critically something we should think about and take action in the future. My main goal in graphics is to build a range of skills to allow my creativity to flourish to create opportunities to inspire, inform and influence others.

I believe my background in Maths has deepened my ability to problem solve and further developed my analytical skills and reasoning abilities. Which has stemmed the interest in the integration of science and creativity. Being able to apply mathematical understanding, logic and analysis also helped with coding which I have just hand coded this website using html and CSS grid.

Subsequently, my hobby in film photography, adventures around the world and scrapbooking has highly influenced by graphic style; analogue techniques, textures, and doodles.

I have a huge interest in the fashion culture, and believe circular fashion is the way forward which is why I created a small business on Depop in which I sell my old clothes/ clothes I sourced from kilo sales/ warehouse for them to be used and worn in new households.

I am currently looking for work experience over the summer in a busy studio or agency environment. If this is a possibility I would love to meet you in person to show you more of my work.
